Detachment- Act of Love

Some of the best acts of love are performed when we have a clear head and a clean heart. The word 'Detachment' can sound harsh and unkind. It is not about moving away or disengaging in a physical sense. Looking at it from an angle of 'stepping back', what am I detaching myself from? From my own or the emotional turmoil, negative influence and dependency of others and situations. This gives a bigger, clearer and different perspective. This is truly an act of love because we can then fearlessly and freely share our inner treasures in a selfless way.
