In times of global crisis, when we are overwhelmed by questions of “why” and “how,” one powerful anchor for stability and clarity is the spiritual dimension. Turning inward allows us to tap into inner strength—the very resilience the world urgently needs. This helps us endure challenges and enables us to become a source of support for others.
In honour of World Humanitarian Day, this talk invites reflection on the virtues that lie within each of us—compassion, courage, kindness, and wisdom—and how we can bring them forth to uplift and serve humanity.

Spiritual Resilience in the Face of Global Crises
Jim Dees
Speaker: Jim Dees

As a primary school teacher of 28 years Jim Dees has gained a lot of benefit from the insights, understanding and inner strength gained from practising meditation. Working in a variety of senior leadership roles for a number of years, and currently as a headteacher, his focus has always been on exploring effective ways to develop positive communities built on a foundation of co-operation, understanding and collaboration.
