Seeking for help builds connections by allowing others to share their information and resources and this in turn shows people that you trust their ideas, feel competent in their skills, and appreciate their advice. It also allows for the possibility of fresh ideas and perhaps a new perspective.

To take help in the world of independent thinkers, could be a weakness as it can hamper the creative and innovative thinking that you have already inherent. It could also mean you are indebted to that one who you have taken help from. This can be a very interesting discussion.
